Description

I went hiking with a friend to Catawba Falls. There are actually 2 waterfalls, a lower falls and an upper falls. The upper falls was inaccessible until recently when a new trail was built. After the new trail was built, western North Carolina was hit by Hurricane Helene and the damaged caused the trail to be closed for a while. It has now been reopened, and this is a picture of the upper falls with 2 young ladies that we met at the falls. They allowed me to take pictures as they posed on the rocks and went swimming. I later sent them the pictures.
